I read the article by Robert a few times. I don&8217;t see anywhere in there where he tries to imply that he thinks or anyone else thinks AVC is the best. AVC is probably one of the more talented teams but we all know that doesn&8217;t make you the best.
Chris The Thief Bridges did not start as he is still rehabbing from an ankle injury.&160; Coach Taylor put him in about the middle of the first half to test his ankle.&160; In the 4 minutes he was in, he had 4 steals,&160; and three assists and really revved up the team defensively.&160; Never saw Chris again for the rest of game as he did his job and was not needed.&160; Oh, yes, his ankle is fine.&160;

For you late-nigrio hondo college basketballhters.&160; Just got back after driving to our closest Foothill opponent140 miles round trip all on 2 lane desert roads.&160; Oh yes, Highway 395 was shut down due to an accident so had to wind our way through Victorville to get to the game.&160;
How can someone who loses to Oxnard be the best? Or gets blasted by 20 at home?So, again how can you claim AVC is the best? Especially when teams like San Francisco haven&8217;t lost in what seems forever and has a higher RPI. And let&8217;s not forget about the team at Citrus who has a higher RPI, best record in California, and beat AVC on a neutral.
AVC heads into practiced tomorrow to take on state ranked 6 San Bernardino Valley at SBV.&160; One down AVC and 5 to go!
Victor Valley loves to slash into the lane and is good at offensive rebounds/put-backs.&160; AVCs defense and Bigs will have to take care of these two issues.&160;&160; At home, Victor Valley can be a dangerous team.&160; They beat state ranked(18) Chaffey.&160;

The final push has begun. With six games left in their conference season, AVC has their te in their own hands. Win the six remaining games and they win the conference and roll into the playoffs with a record of 24-4, the highest RPI in the State, and a probable ranking in the top three.

All season long the AVC coaching staff has been preaching that playing stifling defense will lead to easy shots.&160; Thunderous dunks on st breaks, wide open threes, and touch jumpers in the paint were the outcome of AVCs defense.&160; When you have 14 steals in a game, things usually go your way.
VICTORVILLE &8211; The Antelope Valley College men&8217;s basketball team eased to a 94-58 win over Victor Valley on Wednesday night behind a suffocating defense.
Leading by nine at the half, AVC doubled up Victor Valley 54-27 in the second half.
I understand this is AVC Basketball Fan.com but come on. Let&8217;s be real. AVC is good. And talented. And that talent makes them dangerous in a one game setting but they haven&8217;t done anything to deserve an article about how they&8217;re the best.

In the first game at AVC of these two opponents this year, Victor Valley played very hard and it was late in the game when they ran out of gas and AVC won 84-68.&160; Three players for Victor Valley scored in double figures;
Looking Ahead
You have to start with the race in the Foothill Conference when you talk about the races in the south. When the season started we thought it would be the best in the state and we havent been disappointed. Mt. San Jacinto had a chance to take a two-game lead into the final three weeks, but the Eagles couldnt escape the jaws of the San Bernardino Valley Wolverines last Saturday. The three-point loss might have ruined Coach Patrick Springers weekend, but it may have also refocused Mt. San Jacinto as they prepare to conclude the regular season. The Eagles play four of their final six games at home, where they havent lost this season.The conference title race could come down to the final conference game on February 18th when Antelope Valley (who many claim is the best JC team in California) visits San Jacinto for a 3 pm game.

Sophomore Sean Boston, 64, 205 wing has had a tough couple of years.&160; He red-shirted last year at Citrus and then transferred to AVC.&160; In his second work out, he landed on another players foot on a rebound and fractured a bone in his foot.&160; He had to have surgery and was the most dedicated player I have ever seen in Rehab.&160; His foot has been 100% for months but the year of red-shirt and the months of injury rehab slowed the coordination of his over all shooting and his game awareness.&160; It has been coming back every game and tonight it game back all the way. Intense defense, draining 3s, mid-range jumpers, and thunderous dunks from all directions.&160; Without the stats sheet I am not sure but I believe he led the team in scoring and minutes.&160; Sean is Back!!!!&160; I like his timing.&160;
